Why You Can’t Stay Consistent Showing Up Online (And What To Do Instead)

Have you ever found yourself caught in a cycle of starting strong… then disappearing? You get a burst of motivation, show up online for a while, then fall off the radar. The posts stop. The stories disappear. You ghost your audience and yourself.

And when that happens, you start to question everything.
“Why can’t I be more consistent?”
“Maybe I’m just not cut out for this.”
“I should be doing more.”

Sound familiar?

Here’s the truth:
It’s not a discipline issue. It’s a safety issue.
And you’re not broken for feeling this way.

I know this cycle deeply, because I’ve lived it. And through years of working with women leaders, speakers, and entrepreneurs, I’ve seen the same pattern repeat again and again.

So today, I want to offer you a new lens.
Let’s talk about why consistency really feels hardand how to rebuild it in a way that honors your energy, your truth, and your life.

1. You Might Not Feel Safe Being Seen

It’s one thing to want to be visible. It’s another thing entirely to feel safe being truly seen.

I used to think my inconsistency came from laziness or lack of discipline. But the deeper truth was this:
I didn’t feel safe enough to be fully seen.

That hit hard—especially coming from someone who teaches visibility. But it made sense. When we’ve spent years editing ourselves, second-guessing our words, or hiding behind perfection… consistency becomes emotionally overwhelming.

2. You’ve Been Taught a Version of Consistency That Doesn’t Work for You

We’ve been sold a one-size-fits-all version of consistency: daily posts, constant content, batch filming weeks in advance. But for many women, especially those juggling life, leadership, and purpose-driven work, that version just doesn’t fit.

And when it doesn’t feel doable or nourishing, our nervous system goes into shutdown.

3. You Don’t Have a Plan That Works With You

Coming from a corporate background, I lived by planning and strategy. But I had to learn that consistency in this work requires more than rigid systems. It requires flexibility, compassion, and a rhythm that aligns with your energy.

My 3-Part Framework for Sustainable Consistency

Here’s the framework I use now—and what I teach inside my spaces.

1. Honour Your Energy First

Before you plan or post, pause.
Ask yourself: What feels safe and sustainable for my nervous system right now?

For example, I used to commit to daily lives. But after 30 days straight, I crashed. It wasn’t sustainable.
Now? I do weekly mini masterclasses. It feels aligned, doable, and nourishing.

2. Make a Plan That Aligns

Structure helps. But it has to match your capacity.
I block my weekly masterclass into my calendar. I keep them under 15 minutes. That’s my version of consistent. And if I need to move it, I do. The commitment is to the rhythm, not the rigidity.

3. Commit to What Feels True

Will you show up even when you don’t feel like it?
Not from force—but from devotion.
Because confidence is a muscle. And so is consistency.

When I don’t feel “on,” I still show up—just more honestly. I speak to what’s real in that moment. That’s what builds trust. That’s what builds momentum. That’s what builds you.

Consistency isn’t about perfection.
It’s about safety. Rhythm. Self-trust.
And like all things, it starts with honoring your energy.

So let me ask you:
πŸ‘‰ What would consistency look like for you if it felt true, safe, and sustainable?

You don’t need more strategy — you need support that honours your nervous system.
Let’s build a visibility rhythm that actually feels good.
